Over the years we’ve been the first to utilize new technology as it becomes approved for use in CT. We were the first to utilize plastic leaching chambers in septic construction in 1987. We were the first in CT to use the Terralift Air Injection process to rejuvenate leaching systems in 1994. Plumber-Rooter was the first company in CT to use air inversion to reline underground laterals without digging. And most recently, we were first to use the patented SoilAir system to “repair” failing leaching systems. In fact, one of the first installations was for Martha Stewart’s studio in Westport. And currently, we’re the only company in the area to be using Geomatrix’s patented GeoMat and GeoEdge systems that greatly reduce the height and/or footprint required for a new leaching system.
Last year we joined the Nexstar Network. Nexstar is an affiliation of independent service providers in the Plumbing and Heating, HVAC, and Electrical service industries. Nexstar members subscribe to a strict Code of Ethics and help each other excel by sharing best practices and expertise. Last year we were recognized by Nexstar with the Frank Blau Financial Award as being in the top 5% of Nexstar members.
We have also had 2 employees, Tracy Sorensen and Anderson Mumford, win Better Business Bureau awards for Superior Customer Service.
In addition to being members of the Better Business Bureau and of course the Chamber of Commerce, we are also members of the Norwalk Area Master Builders Association. Additionally, we are members and supporters of the Mill River Wetland Committee, a Fairfield based non-profit that was founded to strengthen environmental education through the study of river basin systems. Bill Hall has volunteered for years at their River Lab, a unique hands-on program of environmental study for students in grades 3 - 6.
