Septic Inspection Service
|
|
During a normal septic inspection our inspectors will pump and examine the septic tank, checking the liquid level of the tank as well as the baffles (inlet and outlet tees). They will check the tank for any leaks or cracks. Depending on the depth and type of leaching system, they will uncover distribution boxes (if any) and probe the leaching area to see if it is wet, dry or full of sludge. If the septic system consists of drywells or leaching galleries the servicemen will try to uncover them or probe around them to check the liquid level. Should the ground condition be such that a machine investigation is warranted (the system is deep or deep frost), you would be notified and made aware of the additional costs.
- Since the septic system is located underground and digging is necessary to inspect it, all efforts will be taken to avoid damage to the landscaping, however we cannot be responsible for damage to underground wiring or irrigation systems.
- If the system appears to be functioning at the time of the inspection, we would generally recommend continued biennial septic tank cleaning to help keep the system in the best working order possible. If there are areas of concern with the septic system, our recommendations and associated costs will be reported. No warranty is implied or expressed by this work.
- We can give you a verbal report at the time of service. A fax or e-mail copy of the inspection report will be sent only to the person authorizing the inspection. A written report will be sent by mail in the next couple of days. If you would like an agent or any other interested parties to receive a copy of the inspection report, please write in their names below:
